About the Role: We are looking for a seasoned Technical Project Manager with extensive experience in the water industry to join our Operations team. This role involves executing local projects across the USA. The ideal candidate will have 15-20 years of relevant experience, preferably in an EPC environment, with international project experience and a thorough understanding of water treatment processes. Strong engineering and design skills are essential, along with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and coordinate with our Global Engineering Center in India and the local project management team.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead engineering and design efforts for global water and wastewater treatment projects.
  • Function as a Project Engineering Manager within the engineering department, directly handling engineering tasks under the guidance of the Head of Engineering.
  • Mentor and develop engineering talent within the team, facilitating regular knowledge-sharing sessions.
  • Ensure engineering tasks are completed accurately, on time, and within budget.
  • Support the Head of Engineering in establishing and maintaining procedures to enhance the quality and efficiency of engineering activities.
  • Conduct value engineering assessments, technical analyses, and feasibility studies, providing expert advice on process optimization and technology selection.
  • Oversee the creation of P&IDs, basic and detailed engineering/design based on customer requirements.
  • Manage third-party design and 3D modeling companies.
  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications for equipment and materials.
  • Supervise equipment and piping sizing calculations, equipment datasheets, control descriptions, and operating manuals.
  • Review quotations for technical compliance and fabrication drawings from external fabricators.
  • Collaborate with project managers, QA/QC teams, skid fabricators, and construction managers.
  • Oversee the preparation of general arrangement drawings, piping detail drawings, and module arrangement drawings.
  • Liaise with clients on technical aspects and participate in design reviews.
  • Provide support during project commissioning and manage warranty claims from a technical perspective.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies throughout the project lifecycle.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, or Environmental).
  • At least 15 years of experience in the water or process industry.
  • Minimum of 10 years managing cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD, and 3D modeling software.
  • Experience with detailed design of complex, skid-based, module-based, and stick-built systems/plants.
  • Familiarity with API, ASME, AWS, NACE, and AWWA codes.
  • Willingness to travel as required for project needs.
  • Experience in an international business environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of various water treatment methods, technologies, and equipment.
  • Understanding of design and engineering principles specific to water treatment facilities.
  • Awareness of legal and regulatory frameworks related to water treatment and environmental standards.


Travel Requirements:

  • Ability to travel as needed for project execution and coordination, 20% of the time.
