Chemical Territory Sales Representative

An international chemical manufacturing company is now looking for a full-time Chemical Territory Sales Representative to join their team on home office base. The ideal candidate is a motivated, well-organized individual who has a deep understanding of adhesives technology to the tape and label industry AND who has experience in account management and business development. The candidate will be able to appropriately identify the needs of both new and current customers to aid customers in their success using our product. This will be done by developing an appropriate level of communication with clients and internal team members to better understand and mitigate any issues the customers may face.
Chemical Territory Sales Representative Responsibilities Include:
Work with customers on a regular basis to determine appropriate solutions to their needs, assist with new product applications, and answer questions and requests for information regarding product details, issues, etc.
Provide quotations and pricing information
Secure product orders and follow up on tracking and delivery
Collaboration with sales teams and clients in regards to product planning and demand
Occasional business travel as required
All other duties assigned
Contact and visit potential clients within assigned territory to establish a business relationship
Research the latest industry trends and create new opportunities to expand business
Manage and maintain existing customer relationships and act as a customer liaison to different company departments
Interface with customers regarding product issues, questions, etc.
Provide quotes and pricing for customers
Assist with program and product development and planning for future sales activities
Provide timely activity reports to management
Other duties as assigned
Chemical Territory Sales Representative Requirements Include:
Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred, OR equivalent work experience
Minimum 5 years’ work experience in Sales in the chemical manufacturing industry (including internships, co-ops, etc.)
Must be familiar with PSA products
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint
Must have excellent customer service, interpersonal communication, and presentation skills.
Flexibility, and collaboration ability in a multicultural environment
Strong attention to detail and time-management skills
Available for up to 50% business travel in the Northeastern region in the US
Valid state issued driver's license with clear records
While performing the duties of this job you may be required to intermittently sit, stand, walk, lift up to 30 pounds, lift in excess of 30 pounds with a lift assist, climb stairs, use hands to handle or feel parts/equipment, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend at the waist, talk and hear. You may also be required to use close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
