Job Summary

The Sales Consultant plays a crucial role in securing new clients for Alsco's linen, work-wear industrial uniforms, and facility services. This position involves selling and promoting approved products and services within a designated sales territory.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify and solicit targeted prospects using various methods, including cold-calling, drop-ins, lead qualifying, and sales funnel management.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and complete new client paperwork.
  • Meet or exceed sales quotas and expectations, adhering to company sales policies and procedures.
  • Build relationships, communicate openly, educate customers, and manage customer needs, working closely with other departments to ensure smooth transitions.
  • Prepare for client appointments by researching clients, tailoring sales materials, and leveraging available resources.
  • Meet with prospective clients to secure their business and execute follow-up meetings to complete the sales process.
  • Coordinate with Plant production and service teams to meet client timelines and deliverables.
  • Contribute to team efforts, supporting other sales personnel or functions as required by supervision.
  • Monitor and report competitive activity.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Minimum 3+ years of business-to-business outside sales experience, with a focus on new account generation, preferably selling a service.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with contact-management software, such as SalesNow, is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.

Physical and Environmental Demands

The Sales Consultant will work in a variety of settings, including vehicles on public roads, general offices, customer locations, and industrial laundry facilities. The position requires standing, sitting, walking, stooping, driving, grasping, moving equipment, pushing, pulling, reading, speaking, hearing, and lifting up to 30 pounds.

Travel Requirements

The Sales Consultant will travel daily within a designated sales territory, with occasional regional and national sales conferences.
