The Association of Theological Schools (ATS) is a bi-national nonprofit headquartered in Pittsburgh that has immediate opening for a full-time program assistant to support our grant initiatives.


Responsibilities

The program assistant will work with directors to plan, support, and execute events (in-person, hybrid, and virtual), gather and communicate project learnings, and design and create educational resources to expand learning across our member school. The assistant will work in a team environment to design, implement, assess, and iterate activities to meet program goals. 


Qualifications

Our preferred candidate:

  • has superior organizational, event planning, and project management skills
  • works independently and with others to determine what needs to be done and gets it done
  • sees the big picture and can attend to the details to accomplish relevant goals
  • possesses problem-solving skills and is willing to see a need and suggest change
  • is technologically savvy, a creative problem solver, and a strong multi-tasker
  • communicates effectively, accurately, and professionally
  • is detail-oriented and a confident self-starter
  • demonstrates hospitality and an ability to work persons across diverse backgrounds
  • has high proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook 


The position includes a generous salary and benefits package and requires some travel. Candidates should reside in the Pittsburgh metro area (we are located near the Pittsburgh airport), but we currently permit hybrid work-from-home. Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and/or experience in theological education or higher education are preferred, but we are open to those who can demonstrate relevant skills and experience in alternative ways.
