The job:

Frontwave Arena is seeking a Director of Sports Marketing for our 7,500 capacity indoor entertainment and sports arena responsible for developing and driving the tenant sports teams marketing initiatives and brand awareness. This individual will develop and distribute consistent themes, messaging, and branding through all communication touch points, including digital marketing, traditional marketing, and media relations. In this role, we are looking for someone with a strategic and creative knowledge of audiences, user needs, attitudes, behaviors, trends, and ability to drive strategic planning across multiple marketing channels to achieve business goals. You will work with our marketing team and our cross-functional partners to bring the sports brands to life and shape the messaging, creative, and overall brand presence. The role requires someone who continually has their pulse on culture, supports outstanding marketing efforts that build value and desirability in the teams and drives increased fandom.

What you will do:

•      Lead and support a broad range of marketing projects, including seasonal campaign roll-out and execution, high priority match support, player marketing and related marketing initiatives.

•      Effectively communicate and collaborate with internal departments including Ticket Sales, Facilities, Corporate Partnerships, Digital/Social, Community, Sports Operations. Devise strategies to increase fan engagement, drive ticket sales, and enhance the overall fan experience.

•      Oversee in-game sports entertainment; develop programs within Frontwave Arena and out in market, including but not limited to concourse entertainment and fan engagements.

•      Assist in the planning and execution of in-game sports marketing, including management of creative needs, local grassroots promotional efforts, and enhancing in-market opportunities to drive scale for fan-facing events.

•      Oversee the development and execution of B2B and B2C marketing collateral and advertising creative, including TV, radio, out-of-home, print, digital and social media advertising.

•      Develop sports marketing programs tied to tenant sports teams, including the relationships and deliverables of internal and external teams / partners (e.g. experiential, specialty marketing and sales agencies).

•      Create and manage digital marketing campaigns across search, display, social media, SMS marketing, and email marketing to deliver established business goals.

•      Oversee and assist in the creation and production of marketing materials, including brochures, flyers, posters, graphics and more, ensuring consistency and high-quality standards.

•      Closely track and report overall campaign performance, while devising strategic recommendations to improve levels of engagement and conversion.

•      Oversee and execute media relations plans including, but not limited to, news pitches, releases, feature stories, and game recaps.

 

Qualifications:

•      Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field.

•      Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in sports marketing

•      Strong understanding of the sports industry and trends.

•      Proven experience in developing and executing successful sports marketing campaigns.

•      Experience in sports digital marketing, social media, and mobile platforms.

•      Working knowledge of ad serving tools and running media campaigns

•      Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

•      Experience with successfully directing sports brand, marketing and general demand generation programs.

•      Experienced in a fast-paced, creative environment.

•      Creative thinking, strong initiative, and verbal presentation skills.

•      Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

•      Self-starter, strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.

•      Ability to work irregular hours including weekends.

 

Salary Range: Base compensation ranging from $80,000 to $100,000.
