Master Data Management Lead

Candidates MUST be located or willing to relocate to Columbus, OH. This is a hybrid position, in the office 3 days/week.

Exposure to logistics, supply chain management, or 3PL (third party logistics) related projects is strongly preferred.


G2O is seeking a Master Data Management / Data Governance Lead that can build an integrated Reference Data Management system. This individual will need to have experience standardizing metrics and KPI's across multiple warehouse management system implementations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Designs, develops and oversees architectures, including complex systems and systems design activities.
  • Acts as the subject matter expert for the enterprise and serves as the data and architecture authority for MDM.
  • Proactively collaborates with business stakeholders to define highly complex technology-based business solutions.
  • Provides thought leadership regarding system design, architecture, and integration.
  • Mentors and leads project teams in the appropriate use of technology.
  • Collaborates with vendors on technical roadmap and platform strategy.
  • Oversees all applicable information technology architecture principles, standards and guidelines in the data, integration, application, infrastructure, solutions, security and technology domains. Reviews and approves high risk design decisions prior to implementation.
  • Leads design activities or reviews system designs to ensure that application solutions will exhibit high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate re-usability and reliability upon deployment.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to optimize solution design and integration patterns.
  • Participates as an active member of one or more scrum teams.
  • Works with Data Solution Architects and Application Architects to design integrations with Master Data consumers - including business continuity (disaster recovery (DR) and high availability (HA) strategies), systems & data integration, and operations with the architecture team.
  • Plays an important role in ensuring data quality that supports data governance & standards for the organization through the utilization of the Client's data governance platforms.
  • Designs, develops, and oversees system architectures surrounding Client’s Data Governance Platforms.
  • Works with Data Architects to design integration patterns with Data Management platforms.


Preferred Software Experience:

  • MDM software/platforms
  • Informatica IDQ or other data quality platform
  • Azure cloud Knowledge, and cloud migration


Key Qualifications:

  • Ability to analyze and define complex processes and sub-processes
  • Ability to study data sources and data models to effectively develop solutions
  • Experience with a Master Data Management or Enterprise Master platform is strongly preferred
  • Experience in Third Party Logistics (3PL) is preferred
  • Communicate effectively with diverse people at various organization levels with right level of detail and cultural sensitivity
  • Flexible and open to new ideas with the ability to understand things from corporate, regional and local perspectives while maintaining customer focus
  • Proven ability to work in an ambiguous environment; self-motivated to work in an independent and collaborative mode
  • Ability to build strong relationships with peers and leaders by building trust and credibility; strong collaboration skills
  • Active listening skills to understand business needs and steer business team to take decisions that have enterprise-wide impact
