Production Assistant


Position Overview


The Production Assistant works closely with the Senior Production Manager to ensure all production processes are completed with high on-time delivery rate and minimal QC issues. This position partners with cross functional team members and effectively communicates issues while creatively problem solves to find solutions. This position reports directly to the Senior Production Manager.


Job Description:


·        Creates factory Purchase Orders and submits to factory via email.

·        Approves factory Proforma Invoice and is responsible for making sure factory revises incorrect information including but not exclusive to cost and ship date.

·        Ensures Carding & Ticketing is properly ordered for each PO.

·        Responsible for gathering from factories, and submitting to JJILL, all testing reports and certificates of compliance (COC) by floor set month to JJILL accounting and quality departments

·        Responsible for gathering all testing reports for all other customers and filing on the share drive.

·        Works with Sr. Production Manager to resolve any failed testing report issues as quickly as possible.

·        Support Sr. Production Manager with day-to-day requests and activities.

·        Proactively contribute to the efforts of the Production team in securing quality issues are resolved in a timely manner.

·        Works with Shipping Assistant to make sure shipping department is aware of any shifts in factory order ready dates.

·        Manages the WIP tracker for on customer online portal. Enter dates and keep information up to date on a weekly basis.

·        Enters all orders on Access and maintains details up to date.



Ideal Candidate:


·        Strong working knowledge of Excel

·        Strong attention to detail

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills

·        Able to juggle multiple projects simultaneously

·        Ability to problem solve

·        High regard for quality assurance

·        Strong organizational and time-management skills

·        Fashion jewelry production experience is preferred

·        Understanding of the industry is preferred

·        Familiarity with Microsoft Access and QuickBooks is a plus
