Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Lead to manage and guide a team of operators and technicians in a dynamic GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environment. The Team Lead will oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and production standards. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a deep understanding of GMP processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership and Supervision
  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of operators and technicians to achieve production goals and maintain high performance.
  • Assign tasks and schedules while monitoring workflow to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Provide on-the-job training and coaching to team members to foster professional growth and compliance with GMP standards.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Oversee daily production operations, ensuring all activities meet GMP requirements and company SOPs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Supply Chain, to optimize production processes.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve operational issues, ensuring minimal downtime and consistent product quality.
  • Compliance and Documentation
  • Ensure team compliance with GMP, SOPs, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and complete documentation for all production activities.
  • Participate in audits and inspections, addressing any findings promptly and effectively.
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement initiatives to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and take corrective actions to meet or exceed targets.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a GMP manufacturing environment, with at least 1-2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, SOPs, and regulatory requirements (e.g., FDA, EMA).
  • Proven ability to lead and develop teams, with excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with manufacturing systems (e.g., ERP or MES).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity.
  • Comfortable working in controlled environments requiring PPE.
  • May require occasional lifting of items up to 25-50 lbs.
