Role Overview:

As a Data Scientist at ReadySignal.com, you will be at the forefront of developing and deploying sophisticated models and algorithms that drive our business forecasting and application development initiatives. This role demands a deep expertise in Python, a passion for data, and a collaborative spirit to work alongside our cross-functional teams.


What You’ll Do:

  • Design, develop, and implement statistical models and algorithms to enhance business forecasting and application performance.
  • Partner with diverse teams to understand business challenges and create data-driven solutions that propel our company forward.
  • Dive into a variety of datasets to uncover insights that inform key business decisions.
  • Utilize statistical computer languages (e.g., R, Python, SQL) to manipulate data and draw actionable insights from large datasets.
  • Apply a variety of machine learning techniques (such as clustering, ensemble techniques, artificial neural networks) to solve complex business problems.
  • Employ advanced statistical techniques and econometric concepts (including regression, properties of distributions, time series, vector autoregression, ECM) to analyze data and inform forecasting models.
  • Play a key role in the continuous improvement of our forecasting applications.
  • Present complex data findings in a clear, actionable manner to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Communicate effectively across teams, both in writing and verbally, to ensure alignment and drive successful outcomes.
  • Keep pace with the latest developments in data science, application development, and forecasting technologies.


What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in data science, with a strong focus on business forecasting and application development.
  • Proficiency in Python and hands-on experience with data analysis libraries like Pandas, NumPy, and SciPy.
  • Strong experience using statistical computer languages (R, Python, SQL, etc.) for data manipulation and insight generation.
  • Knowledge of machine learning techniques and their practical applications.
  • Understanding of advanced statistical techniques and econometric concepts.
  • Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.


Bonus Points:

  • Experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.
  • Understanding of software development practices and application lifecycle management.


Work Environment:

Our hybrid model requires you to be in the Ann Arbor office at least two days a week, offering a supportive and engaging environment that fosters professional growth and teamwork.
