Role Description

As a Bioinformatics Scientist/Sr. Scientist at LynxDx, you will be responsible for translating molecular insights into predictors and classifiers for diagnostic and prognostic oncological tests. As a key member of R&D, you will play a leading role in developing, implementing, and validating bioinformatics analysis pipelines and disease risk models to support the company's product development. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to diverse projects, collaborate across teams (Clinical, Regulatory, IT, Medical Affairs) and make a significant impact on the development of groundbreaking diagnostic solutions. A successful candidate will be highly motivated, independent, and ready to adapt in our fast-paced and productive environment.

This is a full-time, on-site or hybrid role, located in Ann Arbor, MI, reporting to the Director of Research & Development.

Qualifications

  • Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Genetics, or a related field, with 1-5 years of relevant work experience
  • Expertise in statistical methods and algorithms applicable to genomics data, including machine learning, Bayesian inference, regression analysis, and cluster analysis. Deep learning and AI based model development is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of R/, Python, and other programming languages used in data science and bioinformatics. Experience with data visualization tools/libraries such as ggplot, heatmaps, or dimension reduction techniques
  • Experience with NGS data analysis, including RNA-seq, exome-seq, whole-genome and targeted sequencing, and methylation analysis.
  • Experience in automated methods for design of primers and probes in multiplex assays (preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset, with experience working in cross-functional teams
