Position Overview
In the role of Bioinformatics Scientist/Sr. Scientist at LynxDx, you will leverage molecular data to develop predictive models and classifiers for diagnostic and prognostic applications in oncology. As an integral part of the Research & Development team, you will take a lead role in the creation, execution, and validation of bioinformatics workflows and disease risk assessment models that are crucial for advancing our product offerings. This position provides a remarkable opportunity to engage in a variety of projects, collaborate with diverse teams (Clinical, Regulatory, IT, Medical Affairs), and significantly influence the creation of pioneering diagnostic tools. The ideal candidate will possess a strong drive, independence, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and productive setting.
Key Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, Computational Biology, Genetics, or a related discipline, accompanied by 1-5 years of pertinent experience.
- Proficiency in statistical techniques and algorithms relevant to genomic data, including machine learning, Bayesian inference, regression analysis, and clustering. Experience with deep learning and AI model development is highly desirable.
- Solid command of programming languages such as R and Python, along with familiarity with data visualization tools/libraries like ggplot, heatmaps, or dimensionality reduction methods.
- Experience in analyzing NGS data, including RNA-seq, exome-seq, whole-genome sequencing, and methylation analysis.
- Familiarity with automated techniques for designing primers and probes in multiplex assays is preferred.
- Exceptional communication abilities and a collaborative approach, with a history of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
