Summit Radiology P.C. is looking for an IT Unicorn for a contract to hire position. Does this sound like you?

 

Our idea of an IT Unicorn is someone with all of the relevant skills and abilities to handle just about anything that comes your way while working in our IT environment. We need someone with Server, Storage, and Virtualization experience. We also need the person to have Switching, Routing, and Firewall / Security Experience.   Better still, for the right candidate that wants to take this from contract to a permanent position, we need you to have leadership abilities, and preferably some management experience.  One more big thing.  We ‘want’ someone with Radiology IT experience, but we ‘need’ to have at least Healthcare IT experience.

 

Must Have Skills:

Microsoft Windows Server

VMWare ESXI / VCenter

SAN, NAS, iSCSI, NFS, CIFS Storage experience

Layer 2 and Layer 3 Switching (Cisco and Aruba Hardware)

Layer 3 Static and Dynamic (OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP) Routing (Cisco Hardware)

Next Generation Firewall experience (PaloAlto preferred)

Windows PC Skills

Troubleshooting of a complete stack of technology and applications

Fantastic Customer Service Skills

Exceptional Communication Skills (Spoken and Written)

A friendly demeanor and easy-going attitude

The ability to work independently with limited direction and oversight

Attention to Detail

PACS, RIS, DICOM, HL7

Management Experience and Interest

Leadership Qualities

 

Education and Experience:

10+ Years of IT Experience

4+ years of Healthcare IT Experience

  • Radiology experience preferred

Bachelor's Degree in an IT Discipline Preferred

  • Associated Degree with applicable experience will be considered.

 

The Fine Print:

This position will require the individual to live and work in the Fort Wayne, Indiana geographic area. This person will have to be on-site at various locations for Summit Radiology P.C., and it will include limited overnight travel. This may eventually lead to a mild-hybrid schedule.


We are unable to sponsor visas for this position. We are also not accepting referrals or applicants from recruiters, head-hunters, staffing agencies or the like. Direct applicants only. 


This is a 1099, contract position with the potential to lead to a full-time position. The contract portion of the assignment would last 10 to 12 months.  It is possible it could be shorter for the right applicant. As a contractor, you will be responsible for your own taxes and there are no benefits offered. The contract will be paid bi-monthly, but the rate will be between $2500 per week to $3100 per week, dependent upon skills, experience, and education.
