Position Summary: The Data Analyst will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to support decision-making processes within the organization and for our Members, including Members that are part of our Patient Safety Organization. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical skills and the ability to communicate findings effectively to various stakeholders. The role will help build out the Company’s data warehouse and analytic capabilities. The role will support all areas of the business to generate internal and external reports and analysis, to identify trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.


Key Responsibilities:

• Create and maintain interactive visualizations that identify, analyze, and interpret patterns and trends in complex data sets impacting both the Company and its insureds’ industry.

• Prepare reports stating trends, patterns, and predictions using relevant data.

• Develop and maintain analytic dashboards and reports to track key performance indicators (KPI’s) and metrics.

• Collect and compile data from various sources, including electronic health records, patient safety reports, and operational systems.

• Analyze structured and unstructured data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can improve patient safety and operational efficiency.

• Conduct regular audits of data to ensure accuracy and integrity.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams – Underwriting, Claims, Risk, IT, Finance, and Leadership – to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.

• Create and present detailed reports to senior management, highlighting significant findings and recommendations.

• Assist in the development and implementation of data-driven strategies. 

• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in data analysis and patient safety.


Education, Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.

• 5+ years experience of complex data analysis with knowledge of predictive modeling techniques.

• Proficiency in programming and query languages such as SQL, DAX, R, Python, or similar.

• Experience with data visualization and analysis tools such as Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

• Curious and self-driven.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of the insurance industry is a plus
