Scion Technology has been engaged to conduct an immediate search for an experienced IT Support Specialist for our client, a wonderful nonprofit journalism organization in NYC In this role, you’ll support onsite users with day-to-day IT issues. This is a contract role, 3 months+, onsite in Manhattan (SoHo)

  • Hourly rate: $35-50/hr, depending on experience


What you will be doing:

  • End user support for hardware, software, and network related issues
  • Systems maintenance that includes updates, backups, enhancements and optimizations
  • Documentation of issues, solutions, and areas for improvement with an emphasis on security and efficiency
  • Equipment and software lifecycle management: inventory management and tracking, refreshing, disbursement


What you will need:

  • Demonstrated IT end user support expertise
  • Expertise with documentation of issues
  • Experience supporting Windows, Mac and iOS operating systems
  • Experience supporting Google Workspace (gmail, sheets, drive, meet, etc)
  • Experience supporting secure solutions for communication and collaboration like Slack, Okta, and MDM platforms
  • Jira is a plus
  • Must be able to be onsite in SoHo at least 4 days a week
