IT Helpdesk Support Position - Temp to Hire (4-months Temp to Hire)
- Onsite in NYC
- 2+ years of experience in IT Support (full-time professional position) is required
The IT Helpdesk Support Specialist provides planning and technical support for the implementation, installation, configuration, security, and maintenance of computer hardware, software, and networking in a diverse computing environment.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support for service requests and incidents received via a ticketing system or email, over the phone, or in person.
- Manage hardware and software in a Windows and Mac environment that includes imaging, installing, configuring, upgrading, updating, patching, deploying endpoints (laptops, desktops, printers, phones and mobile devices) and securely disposing of endpoints. Maintain an inventory list of endpoints. Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for adoption.
- Provide A/V support for events & classes.
- Write and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and how-to guides.
- Performs related duties as assigned.
- Reports directly to the Associate Director of Technology Services.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in IT or a related field; minimum of 2 years of related experience.
- Must have strong knowledge in troubleshooting, networking and security.
- Must have the ability to learn quickly.
- Must be reliable and meticulous.
- Must have good customer service skills.
- Physical ability to maneuver and lift computers, printers and other equipment.
