Wireless Network Engineer

Job Details

  • Compensation: Up to $130,000/year

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM


Job Responsibilities:

  • Manage and support wireless network and monitoring infrastructure with a focus on maintaining reliability and performance.
  • Design, configure, and deploy wireless network solutions using tools like Ekahau and Aruba network equipment, including APs and controllers.
  • Utilize Airwave Network Monitoring System to ensure optimal functionality of wireless infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain wireless network operations and designs, incorporating various wireless protocols such as 802.11a, g, n, ac, and ax.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues involving wireless networking, switching, and IP routing.
  • Manage controller-based wireless network infrastructure, including Aruba Clear Pass.
  • Monitor network performance using appropriate tools and resolve unexpected critical failures, including on-call support outside normal hours.
  • Document and communicate technical processes, providing clear and concise information in a collaborative team environment.
  • Work on multiple projects, managing shifting priorities while maintaining high standards of execution.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in wireless network management and support.
  • Proficiency with wireless network design tools (e.g., Ekahau) and Airwave Network Monitoring System.
  • Expertise in Aruba wireless APs, controllers, and protocols (802.11a, g, n, ac, ax).
  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, switching, and routing protocols.
  • Experience developing wireless network operations and designs, including controller-based infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with Aruba Clear Pass and troubleshooting tools for Wi-Fi networks.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.
  • Flexibility to work outside normal hours and on-call availability.
  • Certified Wireless Network Administrator (CWNA) certification.
  • Experience with Aruba 7xxx controller platforms and specific AP models (AP33x, AP53x, AP65X).
