Inventory Control Specialist

Description JOB PURPOSE: The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for managing inventory at Midco’s Warehouse and Inventory facilities by accurately receiving in incoming shipments and picking and processing all outgoing shipments using inventory control systems to support internal and external customers. KEY FUNCTIONS: Prepare and process all incoming and outgoing shipments by prepping, picking, loading, unloading, and securing the equipment. Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free if damage. Accurately distribute equipment to the appropriate personnel. Maintain, control, and organize Midco’s inventory. Initiate timely and accurate requisition orders to replenish the inventory. Accurately key all inventory data with a high level of accuracy. Conduct accurate inventory cycle counts. Utilize the inventory system to maintain the inventory in an organized manner. Wear appropriate safety equipment including, but not limited to steel toe shoes, face guards, protective gloves, and aprons. Operate Midco equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Use safe practices to load and unload incoming and outgoing shipments. Operate and drive a Company vehicle in accordance with all Midco policies including maintaining a safe driving record. May be required to travel to additional sites to assist other teams dependent upon company need. Follow and serve as a role model in displaying Midco’s Core Values and Leadership Success Drivers. Support internal & external customer needs through positive relationship interaction. Adhere to Midco privacy guidelines to ensure each customer’s privacy. Maintain regular attendance as required by your position in accordance to Midco Attendance Policy. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Function as an effective team member while supporting the efforts and concepts of other departments. Cross-train to support internal teams to meet Midco business needs. Mentor new team members as required. Provide clerical and administrative support as necessary. Successfully complete ongoing training as necessary and/or as directed. Ability to identify and solve problems that may include short-term and long-term solutions. Ability to perform detailed work in an accurate and organized manner. Function as an effective team member while supporting the efforts and concepts of other departments. Support the mission, vision and values of Midco. Apply personal ethics, honesty, initiative, flexibility, responsibility, and confidentiality in all areas of responsibility. Possess an enthusiastic, energetic, self -motivated, and detail-oriented approach towards work and all work projects. EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION: Job Title Position Requirement Inventory Control Specialist I · High school diploma or GED required. · Minimum of one year of inventory or warehouse experience preferred. · Microsoft Office experience preferred. · Knowledge of inventory management systems preferred. · Ability to navigate general computer operations; Web Browser, Email, Instant Message/Video Conferencing required. · Have the ability to obtain certification to operate material handing equipment, such as forklift and/or skid steer. Inventory Control Specialist II · Minimum of 1+ years of warehouse or inventory experience preferred. · All requirements of Inventory Control Specialist I met. Inventory Control Specialist III · Minimum of 3+ years of warehouse or inventory experience preferred. · All requirements of Inventory Control Specialist II met. Inventory Control Specialist IV · Minimum of 5+ years of warehouse or inventory experience preferred. · All requirements of Inventory Control Specialist III met. Inventory Control Specialist V · Minimum of 8+ years of warehouse or inventory experience preferred. · All requirements of Inventory Control Specialist IV met. WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The team member is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, or crouch. The team member may occasionally lift and/or carry loads of up to 50 When lifting loads heavier than 50 pounds, it is required for two or more people to lift the load. Team member may be required to sit and/or work on feet for extended periods of time. The noise level in the work environment is moderate to loud. Team member may be required to work in varying temperatures and/or weather conditions. While performing the duties of this job, the team member occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and is occasionally exposed to risk of electrical shock, vibration, paint, and various cleaning chemicals. Team member may be required to work more than 40 hours per week and other than normal business hours, such as holidays, evenings, and weekends as business demands.
