Washington, United States US-India Strategic Partnership Forum Full time

A senior-level professional to head the TMT (technology, media, and technology) sector in Washington, DC, and maintain working relationships with senior US government (USTR, Commerce, NSC, State Department).


Responsibilities

·      Lead TMT vertical supporting U.S. companies in India. 

·      Develop policy positions and cross-functional government advocacy programs and work directly with foreign government officials, including Ministers and high-level civil servants at central and state governments. 

· Work on digital economy policy issues, tax, data governance, privacy, cross-border data flows, and competition, among others. 

·      Engage U.S. Executive Branch offices, key Congressional offices, industry associations, and think tanks to support policy objectives.


Minimum Qualifications

·      15+ years of experience in U.S. Government, association, or law firm.

·      International experience in trade and technology policy

·      A master’s degree is required, preferably in a relevant discipline (Law, Public Policy, Political Science etc.).

·      Excellent written and spoken English is necessary. 

·      Ability to maintain the highest personal levels of ethical conduct, confidentiality, and integrity, with a strong professional reputation in the industry. 


Preferred Qualifications

·      Expertise in policy planning and analysis, strategic advocacy, and government relations.

·      Expertise in Internet, Technology, and Telecommunications policy and regulatory structures, business models, and operations

·      Extensive experience with international markets, regulators, and ministries. Experience working in multi-lateral governmental, regional, and global organizations.
