Safety Coordinator


LHH Recruitment Solutions is currently seeking a Safety Coordinator for our Nashville-based client. This is an on-site position for a Transportation company committed to providing excellent service and innovative solutions to clients.


  • Job Title: Fleet & Safety Coordinator
  • Duration: Temporary to Hire
  • Location: Nashville, Tennessee
  • Pay Rate: $23-25 per hour.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Train drivers on daily reporting including vehicle inspection reports, hours of service reports, incident reports, and any other required documentation.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of safety and security programs.
  • Maintain EPA, DOT, OSHA and USCG tracking.
  • Perform safety surveys and inspections, prepares written reports of findings and recommendations for corrective or preventive measure.
  • Collaborate with management to develop, prepare, and implement safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Provide administrative support to Fleet Safety & Maintenance Manager.
  • Conduct new hire safety training (Minimum of 25% travel to other facilities).


Qualifications:

  • 2 years minimum safety experience required.
  • Two years related experience and/or training.
  • OSHA and FMCSA experience preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Must demonstrate a positive attitude and be professional. Strong customer service and communication skills required.
