Role Description

This is a contract-to-hire role for a Business Development Manager at Mightily. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to drive sales and business growth. Your day-to-day tasks will involve identifying new business opportunities, outreach, qualifying leads, external marketing efforts, conducting market research, and creating sales proposals. Mightily has built a portfolio of clients across the United States, and is currently seeking help to grow the business by identifying and helping to secure new client projects. This is a remote role that requires effective communication and proactive collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.


Qualifications

  • A proven track record in business development and sales in a business-to-business environment with a record of success is required, particularly in a sales role where you were required to generate your own leads in addition to working from provided leads
  • Strong knowledge of the marketing and advertising industry
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Experience in conducting market research and analysis
  • Proficiency with HubSpot CRM software and sales tools
  • Self-motivated and target-driven
  • Ability to work independently and remotely
  • This work can be done remotely and part-time, according to a schedule of your choosing
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field

What We Provide

  • Generous commission structure with the opportunity to move to a salaried position based on performance - average contract values are $20,000 to $150,000 and are both project and retainer-based

Please note that this role is structured as an independent contractor opportunity, with compensation structured as commission only currently. In the spirit of transparency, this means that while we aim to offer commission percentages at or above industry norms, depending on your sales ability and professional network, there may be a ramp-up period for earned commissions to grow, just based on the normal sales cycle, such as the time it takes for initial outreach to prospects, the time to convert projects, bill clients, and to be paid. There is an opportunity for this role to evolve to a permanent full-time position with benefits based on performance.
