The Role

As JMG Public Relations works to break the traditional definition of public relations and

expand our media empire, we are looking for a Senior Account Executive. The Senior Account Executive will have an intimate understanding of a client company's objectives and products to provide and drive creation of successful promotional activities and comprehensive media strategies. As a member of senior leadership, the Account Executive contributes their expertise to the strategic growth of the firm. You will work with multiple accounts simultaneously and will serve as the subject matter expert to clients and the internal team.


Responsibilities

  • Lead a large volume of accounts simultaneously
  • Develop high level strategies for clients to be utilized for reports and pitching
  • Responsible for client engagement, tracking and reporting
  • Interact with external agencies to develop comprehensive, integrated strategic plans to properly position clients with various stakeholders (internal, consumer, trade)
  • Attend and contribute to senior leadership meetings with CEO
  • Reviewing and edit written work of team members, including press releases, media alerts, blog articles, byline articles, press releases content articles, media pitches, proposals, contracts, etc
  • Guide Account Coordinator and Account Executive by goal setting and ensuring accountability
  • Manage internship program

You are a confident senior level PR Account Executive with a strong sense of leadership. You are skilled in strategic decision making. Your proven ability to delegate allows you to manage multiple clients at a time while directly contributing to the professional development of a team of PR professionals. You have proven success in developing individuals to support advancement. You recognize the importance of maintaining and enhancing a company’s public-facing image and reputation through your communication and deliverables.



Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • BA in Mass Communications, Public Relations or related field
  • 3 years Public Relations experience in agency required
  • Demonstrated proficiency and practical experience in media writing
  • 3 years of Media Relations experience preferred
  • Previous experience managing a team
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
  • Proficient in Muck Rack
