Through our advanced WareView platform, we offer shippers seamless access to a vast network of asset-light and asset-heavy warehouses, enabling businesses to scale efficiently, optimize their supply chains, and adapt quickly to market changes. We’re seeking a Director of Operations who can lead our operational strategy and execution while driving excellence across our dynamic logistics network.
Position Overview:
As the Director of Operations at Kinimatic, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our warehouse network while managing internal operations and assisting in financial operations. You will lead teams focused on warehousing, fulfillment, transportation, and supply chain management, ensuring our operations align with our strategic goals. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with deep experience in logistics, fulfillment, operational excellence, and financial oversight, capable of wearing multiple hats to help drive growth and meet the evolving needs of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Operational Leadership: Lead and manage the end-to-end operations across Kinimatic’s warehousing and fulfillment network, ensuring seamless service delivery, efficiency, and scalability.
• Strategic Execution: Develop and implement operational strategies that align with Kinimatic’s growth objectives and support our mission to provide flexible, scalable, and tech-driven logistics solutions.
• Process Optimization: Identify areas for continuous improvement in operations, leveraging data, technology, and industry best practices to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance service quality.
• Internal Operations Management: Oversee internal processes, ensuring alignment across departments and improving overall operational effectiveness.
• Financial Operations Assistance: Collaborate closely with the finance team to ensure accurate financial management, budget oversight, and assist in financial reporting and analysis.
• Vendor and Partner Relationships: Oversee relationships with warehouse partners, transportation providers, and other key vendors to negotiate competitive proposals for customers and integrate them into presentations. Attention to detail in these negotiations and presentations is critical.
• Technology Integration: Work closely with the technology team to ensure our WareView platform is fully integrated into operations, providing real-time visibility and control across the network.
• Billing and Invoice Resolution: Collaborate closely with the billing team to resolve disputed invoices and ensure accurate and timely billing for services rendered.
• Multi-Hat Leadership: Be prepared to take on multiple roles, including setting up customer sales operations and other growth initiatives as needed, to support the company’s expansion.
• CSR Team Support: Establish and manage a Customer Service Representative (CSR) team responsible for coordinating day-to-day operations between customers, vendors, and our technology platform to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
• QuickBooks and Accounting Support: Step in to assist the accounting team as needed, with responsibilities including generating and reading reports, creating and modifying invoices and bills, sending and paying bills, and recording transactions in QuickBooks.
• Supply Chain Optimization: Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to optimize inventory management, order fulfillment, and last-mile delivery processes.
• Financial Management: Manage operational budgets, forecast demand, and drive cost-effective operations while maintaining high standards of service.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of 3PL/4PL Experience with Capacity, Distribution & Fulfillment Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in logistics, warehousing, fulfillment, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• 5+ years of experience working with QuickBooks, including generating and reading reports, creating invoices, modifying bills, sending bills, paying bills, and recording transactions.
• Proven track record of leading multi-site operations and driving process improvements in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong understanding of logistics technology platforms and how they integrate with operations.
• Exceptional leadership skills with experience building and managing high-performing teams.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
• Ability to wear multiple hats and take on additional roles as the company grows, including setting up customer sales operations.
• Experience with vendor management, contract negotiation, and preparing competitive proposals with meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to establish and support a CSR team responsible for managing day-to-day operations between customers, vendors, and Kinimatic’s technology.
• Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including billing and finance, to resolve issues and ensure operational excellence.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, growth-focused environment.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Base Salary: $100k - $140k per year, based on experience and qualifications
• Bonus: Up to 10% of base salary based on company and personal performance
