Assistant Community Manager

The Assistant Community Manager is responsible for supporting the Community Manager in all aspects of property operations, with a specific focus on tax credit compliance and affordable housing regulations. This role involves daily administrative tasks, and resident relations.


Pay range: $25-28/hour

Location: San Jose, CA

Contract ongoing


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Assist with resident activities and community engagement initiatives to foster a positive living environment.
  • Support leasing activities, including showing units, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.
  • Assist in the development and execution of marketing strategies to attract and retain residents.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax credit and affordable housing regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date resident files and documentation.
  • Assist with preparing reports for internal use and external regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in the collection and processing of rent payments and other fees.
  • Support the Community Manager in preparing and managing the property’s budget.
  • Help identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue generation.
  • Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure timely completion of work orders and property upkeep.
  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 1 years of experience in property management, with a focus on tax credit and affordable housing.
  • Strong understanding of tax credit compliance and affordable housing regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in property management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
