Job Summary:

As a Quality Manager, you will be responsible for the development, implementation, and oversight of our Quality Management System (QMS), including relevant plans and policies. Key Responsibilities:

  • Quality System Management: Plan, direct, and manage quality systems, policies, procedures, standards, and records.
  • QMS Compliance: Ensure plant-wide compliance with the QMS and maintain relevant registrations. Coordinate product and process audits, facilitate compliance with certifications through third-party registrars, and recommend corrective and preventive actions for non-conformities.
  • Quality Assurance Oversight: Manage daily quality assurance activities, including verification of compliance with specifications for manufactured and assembled parts, as well as parts/services from suppliers.
  • Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Suppliers to investigate customer quality complaints, conduct experiments and inspections, and make data-driven decisions for corrective actions.
  • Quality Metrics and Analysis: Monitor and analyze customer returns, internal defects, test yields, scrap, and other non-conforming conditions. Recommend corrective and preventive measures based on formal problem-solving methodologies like 8D.
  • Continuous Improvement: Lead company-wide initiatives to reduce waste, increase yield, and enhance customer satisfaction using methodologies like Kaizen, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement (CI), Lean, and Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP). Aim to improve product lines, reduce costs associated with poor quality, and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Team Supervision: Supervise and direct Quality Engineers and Lab Technicians, including hiring, mentoring, training, performance evaluation, and recommending changes in employee status.
  • Quality KPI Management: Maintain and track quality KPIs and dashboards. Lead efforts to identify high-impact recurring issues and implement effective corrective actions.
  • QC Lab and Validation Testing: Oversee quality control lab and validation testing to support new product development and ensure ongoing product and process compliance, while identifying opportunities for improvement.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering technology; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Over 10 years of experience in a quality management role within a manufacturing or assembly environment, including positions such as Quality Engineer, Reliability Engineer, or Quality Supervisor.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Quality Manager in a manufacturing or assembly setting.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • ASQ certification is preferred.
