POSITION TITLE: Credit Assistant TITLE OF IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Credit Manager DATE SUBMITTED: June 2022 POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the Credit Department. This includes performing clerical duties, researching customers’ credit information and maintaining customers’ credit files, as well as other duties that may be assigned by the Credit Manager. REGULAR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Provides daily administrative support to the Credit Manager. Processes incoming and outgoing credit inquiries. Updates credit and bank references via phone, fax, and mail by request of the Credit Manager or from incoming credit applications. Presents completed credit applications to the Credit Manager for approval or denial. Changes customers’ credit limits in the computer system. Composes and sends letters to customers notifying them of their credit terms or requesting payments from customers with delinquent accounts. Monitors and addresses Credit related emails in the inbox, as well as their personal inbox. Follows up by email with customers on payment for missed invoices. Prepares the Over 90 and Hit List reports on a semi-weekly basis of those accounts with balances over 90 days past due or greater than $5,000 and over 30 days past due, respectively. Serves as back-up to the New Accounts Lead. Functions as a back-up phone operator and directs incoming calls to the appropriate person. Assist with special projects, as needed. EMPLOYEES SUPERVISED: None QUALIFICATIONS: The Credit Assistant must have one year of experience working in a similar environment. This individual must be able to enter data quickly and accurately into the computer utilizing MS Word and Excel. The Credit Assistant must be proficient on a 10-key calculator and must have a good understanding of business math. This individual must also be able to effectively communicate with customers and co-workers and be able to read and write. Physical Demands: This position requires occasionally lifting up to 20 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. This position requires individual to regularly sit, talk and hear and also requires the use of hands to finger, handle, feel and reach with hands and arms. This position is located in an office environment. Desired Skills and Experience

Receivables experience, working with Excel spreadsheets, in a credit department and administration
