The Process Engineer with create, develop, and implement efficient manufacturing systems, reducing costs while maintaining standards of operations.

Duties:

  • Recommend and implement Process Improvements that will improve product quality, machine throughput, material yields and worker safety.
  • Assist Manufacturing in training operators in the proper set up, use and maintenance of production equipment and the documentation of same.
  • Assist with sourcing materials for products and production – for example, film topcoats, films, automation equipment, packaging
  • Draft and maintain Product Specifications
  • Address customer complaints when technical input is needed
  • Coordinate with Maintenance to determine the best corrective action for work orders
  • Coordinate with Sales, Manufacturing and Purchasing on New Product Development projects that may involve initial brainstorming, testing materials or processes, costing, equipment specification, product testing, packaging and roll out.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in engineering related field from four-year college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience
  • Lean Manufacturing training is preferred
  • Problem solving, excellent communication skills between all departments, detail oriented, mechanical/electrical aptitude
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or government regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
