About the opportunity:

We are looking for a highly motivated Branch Manager to lead our San Diego branch in the automotive aftermarket transmission parts sector. The Branch Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, including staff management, customer relations, sales growth, inventory control, and profitability. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of transmission parts, strong leadership skills, and a proven ability to manage a successful branch within the automotive aftermarket industry.


Key Responsibilities:


Branch Operations:

  • Oversee daily operations of the branch, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company standards and procedures.
  • Ensure that the branch meets or exceeds sales and profitability targets.
  • Implement and maintain best practices for inventory management, minimizing waste and optimizing stock levels.


Sales and Customer Service:

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share in the aftermarket transmission parts sector.
  • Build strong relationships with existing customers and cultivate new business opportunities.
  • Handle customer complaints and ensure a high level of satisfaction.
  • Provide expert knowledge and support to customers on aftermarket transmission parts.


Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of sales staff, warehouse personnel, and support staff.
  • Conduct regular training and development programs to ensure the team is knowledgeable about products and industry trends.


Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

  • Oversee inventory control, ensuring the availability of key transmission parts while managing costs.
  • Coordinate stock replenishment, returns, and defective product handling.


Financial and Budgetary Responsibilities:

  • Monitor the financial performance of the branch, including profit margins, cost control, and budgeting.
  • Analyze financial reports to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to enhance profitability.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing, billing, and collections processes are followed.


Marketing and Business Development:

  • Develop marketing strategies tailored to the local market to increase brand awareness and attract new customers.
  • Implement promotions, advertising campaigns, and customer outreach programs in coordination with corporate marketing.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows, and networking events to promote the branch and identify new business opportunities.


Qualifications:


Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in the automotive aftermarket, specifically in transmission parts sales and branch management.
  • Proven track record in leading and developing teams and driving business growth.


Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of aftermarket transmission parts and industry trends.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and sales systems.
  • Financial acumen with experience in budgeting and profit/loss management.
  • Customer-focused with excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work in an environment that may require standing for long periods and handling automotive parts.
