Meeting & Events Specialist

A prominent Chicago law firm is on the hunt for a dynamic Meeting & Events Specialist to join the team and take our event experiences to the next level This role offers an exciting opportunity to showcase your skills in planning and executing unforgettable events, from high-profile client receptions to essential attorney-focused continuing legal education (CLE) programs. As the Meeting & Events Specialist, you'll be at the forefront of event efforts, working closely with attorneys and staff to create impactful experiences. You'll lead the charge in organizing a variety of events, both on and off-site, ensuring every detail is flawless and leaves a lasting impression. This role offers hybrid flexibility and a competitive salary of $75-80k, commensurate with experience.
Key Responsibilities of the Meeting & Events Specialist:
- Plan, coordinate, and execute a wide range of events, including high-energy client receptions, strategic internal meetings, informative seminars, and CLE programs that keep our attorneys ahead of the curve.
- Maintain and manage attorney CLE records, ensuring all requirements are met and accurately documented, so our attorneys stay compliant and ready to serve clients.
- Work hand-in-hand with attorneys to understand their needs, develop engaging program agendas, and deliver seamless event execution that exceeds expectations.
- Coordinate with top-tier vendors, venues, and partners to deliver top-quality event experiences. From invitations and RSVPs to materials and follow-ups, you’ll have it all covered.
- Partner with the marketing team to promote events and drive participation through innovative marketing strategies, email campaigns, and social media buzz.
- Help craft and distribute compelling marketing materials that resonate with our audience and elevate our firm's presence.
Qualifications of the Meeting & Events Specialist:
- Bachelors degree required.
- 3-5 years experience in marketing and event planning, ideally within a law firm or professional services setting.
- Familiarity with CLE requirements and attorney event planning is a big plus.
- A master of organization with an eye for detail, ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Must be available to work from our Chicago office at least three days per week, with flexibility for occasional overtime and evening events.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and event management software.
