As a Procurement Purchasing Lead, your role is pivotal in managing and optimizing the procurement process within an organization. Here’s a detailed description of your responsibilities:

1. Strategic Sourcing:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with organizational goals.
  • Identify reliable suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and contracts.
  • Continuously evaluate supplier performance to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.

2. Purchasing Execution:

  • Coordinate and execute the procurement of goods and services as per established policies and procedures.
  • Manage purchase orders, ensure timely delivery, and resolve any issues related to orders.

3. Supplier Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to foster collaboration and resolve disputes promptly.
  • Conduct regular supplier assessments and implement improvement plans as necessary.

4. Cost Management:

  • Monitor and control procurement budgets and expenditures.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings through strategic sourcing and process improvements.

5. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and internal policies.
  • Assess and mitigate procurement-related risks, such as supply chain disruptions or compliance issues.

6. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Analyze procurement data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
  • Prepare and present reports on procurement performance to stakeholders and management.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years procurement experience
  • Lawson - Infor experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Demonstrated success building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • PREFERRED: GHX experience is preferred
