About this opportunity


The Equipment Control Manager position helps to oversee the entire operation of Equipment Control and fill in the gaps where necessary. This position uses a combination of AS400 Software and Excel Reporting to track, correct, and implement change while working directly with both internal staff and external customers.



Pay and Schedule


This position is Monday - Friday 7:00am to 5:00pm. The pay range is $70k-$90k/year dependent on experience.

How will you contribute to the success of the team?


  • Comply with shipper’s trailer pools as well as drop locations based on customers commitments.
  • Support the account management and planning department with trailers to cover the customers’ needs and to have enough freight for our drivers.
  • Monitor Customer Pools, ensuring that there are no gaps between utilization, trailer detention, and truck detention for each customer.
  • Be the face for the team when something outside of the department is directly affecting equipment
  • Manage the ratio of trailers vs trucks
  • Measure the amount of deadhead and bobtails due to no trailers at the shipper location
