SUMMARY OF DUTIES:


The Lead Software Engineer (SAP IBP) is responsible for delivering high-quality software systems through requirement analysis, functional design, software configuration, and supporting testing and deployment.


The Lead Software Engineer collaborates with customers, business analysts, and team members to understand business requirements, ensuring solutions align with business and IT strategies and comply with architectural standards. The role includes analyzing and implementing product releases and acting as an escalation point for operational support for assigned systems.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Provide functional support and solutions for business requirements as part of a diverse team.
  • Work on supply chain planning system projects, requiring exposure to SAP environments and a medium level of business knowledge. Responsibilities include:
  • Configuring the system to meet business process requirements.
  • Organizing and documenting functional requirements.
  • Collaborating with enterprise architects and infrastructure teams to integrate applications and hardware.
  • Ensuring design and application implementation meet security and QA standards.
  • Evaluating new application product releases and enhancements.
  • Providing recommended solutions for business problems using best practices.
  • Participating in teams outlining process improvements achievable through application solutions.
  • Coordinating the deployment of new modules, upgrades, and fixes.
  • Defining, developing, or modifying software application modules or change management processes.
  • Identifying better data sources and interfacing with architects to ensure feasibility with the corporate data warehouse.
  • Documenting functions and changes to new or modified modules, test activities/results, and other areas such as error handling and backup/recovery procedures.
  • Making modules production-ready by following procedures and completing version control documents.
  • Providing ongoing maintenance of applications.
  • Producing and analyzing data extracts based on user requirements.
  • Monitoring applications to ensure functionality and performance meet product and service level requirements and coordinating with development teams.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Management with 6+ years of relevant experience or 10+ years of relevant work experience in a subject matter expert capacity.
  • Experience in a key Supply Chain Planning functional role with one or more end-to-end implementations of some or all SAP Integrated Business Planning Modules.
  • Responsibility for designing and building system solutions for planning functions on SAP IBP based on functional and business requirements, including supply and demand process flows, hands-on configuration of planning area, master data attributes, copy operators, and Key Figures. This role includes discussions with business stakeholders, proposing solution designs and reviews, data analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Knowledge of IBP Quarterly Functional Process Improvements/Releases, Supply Chain Enhancements, and operational support on production issues.


MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:


  • Strong documentation and communication skills.
  • Broad understanding of information systems and application architecture standards.
  • Ability to develop customer enhancements and work with developers.
  • Ability to work well under deadlines in a flexible environment.
  • Adaptable communication skills to translate between technical and business language effectively.
  • Ability to identify, propose, and oversee the execution of business solutions and interpret documents communicating business needs and requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, specialized training, certification, or equivalent work experience.
  • Experience in travel, hospitality, or transportation industries.
  • Knowledge of MM/SCM Material Requirement Planning modules in SAP ECC. Preferred understanding of the direct procurement business process in SAP ECC/SAP S4 Hana.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:


  • Work is performed in a Hybrid work environment.
  • Onsite Hybrid Position requires presence 2-3 days per month.
  • Additional duties as assigned.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills are required.


Salary: $130k
