Job Summary

We are seeking skilled SAP Analysts to join our team at varying levels (SME, Senior, JourneyMan, and Junior). As an SAP Analyst (Architect at Senior Levels), you will play a crucial role in supporting and optimizing our SAP environments, working closely with clients to gather requirements, implement solutions, and ensure system efficiency. The specific responsibilities will vary by level, with more advanced roles leading solution architecture, implementation, and mentorship activities. Our client is a boutique consulting firm that employs consultants and professionals with unique skill sets to support the federal government with strategic execution, financial process enablement, IT systems, and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation.

 

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to support SAP projects, ranging from system analysis to solution implementation.
  • Engage in tasks related to SAP (S/4HANA and ECC), such as troubleshooting, configuration, and performance optimization.
  • Participate in designing and implementing SAP solutions, contributing to overall business objectives.
  • The exact responsibilities will vary depending on your level of experience, with the SAP SME and Senior Analysts taking on leadership roles, while the JourneyMan and Junior Analysts focus on support and development.

 

Responsibilities


General Responsibilities (Applicable to All Levels):

  • Support SAP (S/4HANA and ECC) projects, ensuring alignment with business goals and compliance with government standards.
  • Analyze and document business processes, requirements, and system improvements to optimize SAP performance.
  • Coordinate with clients to understand needs and provide solutions that align with overall strategies.


Level-Specific Responsibilities:

  • SAP SME (Subject Matter Expert) Level:
    • Serve as the lead expert in SAP solutions, providing advanced technical and strategic guidance in all aspects of SAP (S/4HANA and ECC).
    • Lead the development and implementation of complex SAP solutions, ensuring they align with the organization’s overall goals and strategies.
    • Act as the main point of contact for high-level stakeholders, including SES-level clients, offering consultation on best practices, technical direction, and solution optimization.
    • Oversee large-scale SAP projects, ensuring compliance with government standards, and mentor the SAP team across all levels.
    • Develop and implement strategic plans for SAP transformation, working closely with program management and data analytics teams.

  • Senior Level (SAP Senior Analyst):
    • Lead solution design and implementation projects, ensuring complex SAP solutions are implemented efficiently.
    • Provide advanced technical expertise, mentor junior staff, and act as a subject matter expert in SAP modules (S/4HANA and ECC).
    • Participate in strategic planning, process modeling, and translating business requirements into actionable solutions.
    • Engage with high-level stakeholders, including division directors, to guide SAP project objectives and outcomes.

  • JourneyMan Level (SAP JourneyMan Analyst):
    • Develop integrated SAP solutions by applying intermediate knowledge of S/4HANA and ECC.
    • Assist in defining detailed business requirements and facilitate client sessions to ensure solution alignment.
    • Participate in solution design, ensuring compliance with technical requirements and best practices.
    • Coordinate with branch head-level clients to support SAP system improvements and optimization.

  • Junior Level (SAP Junior Analyst):
    • Provide support for SAP-related tasks, including analysis, documentation, and troubleshooting.
    • Assist senior team members in gathering requirements, preparing reports, and implementing SAP improvements.
    • Coordinate with working-level clients, performing administrative and planning tasks as needed.

 

Qualifications

SAP SME Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum nine (9) years of experience with SAP, including advanced experience with S/4HANA and ECC.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (Additional 2 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement).
  • Skills:
    • Extensive expertise in SAP solution design, implementation, and optimization.
    • Proven leadership experience in managing large-scale SAP projects and leading diverse teams.
    • Deep knowledge of SAP modules, government standards, and industry best practices.
    • Exceptional communication and strategic planning skills to engage with high-level stakeholders and guide project success.

SAP Senior Analyst Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum six (6) years of experience with SAP, including S/4HANA and ECC.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Additional 2 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement).
  • Skills:
    • Proven expertise in SAP solution design, implementation, and technical troubleshooting.
    • Advanced understanding of SAP modules, processes, and integration.
    • Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring junior staff and leading complex projects.
    • Excellent communication skills to engage with high-level stakeholders.

SAP JourneyMan Analyst Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum three (3) years of experience with SAP, including S/4HANA and ECC.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Additional 2 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement).
  • Skills:
    • Intermediate understanding of SAP solution development, configuration, and support.
    • Experience gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and translating them into SAP solutions.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively with clients at the branch head level.
    • Good communication and documentation skills.

SAP Junior Analyst Qualifications:

  • Experience: Minimum one (1) year of relevant experience with SAP or related systems.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree (Additional 2 years of relevant experience may substitute for degree requirement).
  • Skills:
    • Basic understanding of SAP processes, configurations, and troubleshooting.
    • Willingness to learn and adapt to new SAP modules and systems.
    • Ability to support senior staff in documentation, reporting, and basic system analysis.
    • Effective communication skills to work with clients at a working level.
