Join our dynamic team at the Boise Airport as an Airport IT Systems Administrator You’ll play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our technology systems, ensuring compliance with federal regulations, and driving innovation in airport operations.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and achieve long and short-term goals for airport technology systems.
  • Support and maintain all technology unique to the airport environment.
  • Review and analyze federal, state, and local laws for impact on airport operations.
  • Research and recommend hardware and software enhancements.
  • Provide daily maintenance and troubleshoot technical security-related issues.
  • Advise management on industry trends and technology solutions.
  • Liaise between the airport and the City of Boise IT for effective communication and collaboration.
  • Manage moderate to complex IT projects, including business cases and feasibility studies.
  • Draft and manage RFQs and RFPs, overseeing the selection process.
  • Coordinate and review the work of third-party security contractors and the City IT Department.
  • Audits will be conducted to ensure TSA compliance, and findings will be presented to the airport security coordinator.
  • Identify and develop grant applications or other funding opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in IT systems administration, preferably in an airport or similar environment.
  • Strong understanding of federal regulations related to airport operations.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Experience with RFQs, RFPs, and vendor management.
