Job Description: Logistics Intern

Position Overview

We are seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Logistics Intern to join our dynamic team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the logistics and supply chain field, working closely with experienced professionals. The ideal candidate will be passionate about logistics, highly organized, and eager to learn about the intricacies of supply chain management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop reports using transportation data to assist in the timely distribution of materials.
  • Review monthly inventory transaction reports, identifying discrepancies with internal data.
  • Improve inventory reconciliation process using automated scripts.
  • Manage reverse logistics dashboard and investigate opportunities to automate data refresh process.
  • Gain an understanding of Transportation Management System (TMS) and assist dispatcher with routing transportation.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement within the logistics department.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Basic understanding of logistics and supply chain concepts.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Experience with data analysis and reporting tools is beneficial (Python, SQL, PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Previous internship or work experience in a logistics or supply chain role is a plus.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
