Focus:

  • Maintain accurate records of fixed assets, including acquisition, depreciation, and disposal, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
  • Manage the grant accounting process, overseeing budgeting, reporting, and compliance monitoring, adhering to grant stipulations and regulatory guidelines.
  • Conduct regular audits and reconciliations of fixed asset and grant accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data.

  • Provide guidance and support to program managers and project leads on financial matters related to grants and fixed assets.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, providing insights and analysis as needed.
  • Support external audits and reviews by providing documentation and explanations related to fixed assets and grants.
  • Stay updated on accounting regulations and best practices related to fixed assets and grants, recommending improvements to processes and procedures as necessary.


Skill Set:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on grant oversight.
  • Solid understanding of accounting principles and regulations, particularly as they relate to fixed assets and grant accounting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with grant management systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with colleagues at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and integrity in handling financial information.
