About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Hospice Sales Representative to join our team at NHC. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with referral sources and professional community contacts to increase access to hospice care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify New Referral Sources: Utilize available corporate resources and community contacts to identify new referral sources.
  • Develop and Implement Territory Plans: Work with the Regional Director, Sales & Marketing to develop, implement, and evaluate quarterly territory plans to achieve sales goals.
  • Conduct Sales Calls and Presentations: Conduct a minimum of 40 sales calls and presentations each week, generating referrals by building long-term business partnerships.
  • Maintain Key Business Accounts: Develop and maintain working relationships with key business accounts and build relationships with prospective accounts.
  • Develop and Maintain Working Relationships: Develop and maintain working relationships with administrative staff, nursing homes, professional/community contacts, physician offices, discharge planners, hospitals, and the hospice team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree: A degree in Healthcare, Business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Sales Experience: Must be able to demonstrate the principles of the sales process in a healthcare environment.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Must possess good communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, be outgoing, perceptive, and self-motivated with the ability to work harmoniously with a wide variety of people.
  • Travel Requirements: Overnight travel may be required.
