Petroplan is currently working with a growth oriented upstream Oil and Gas business in Houston are looking to add an experienced Asset Integrity Engineer to their operation division to assist with the ongoing activities across a number of their domestic US operations.

The Asset Integrity Engineer will be responsible for the management of the Asset Integrity program in a specific domestic operations area. This program includes working with the Houston team and field personnel to maintain integrity for operated pipelines, pressure equipment, facility piping and storage tanks. The chosen candidate will have experience in evaluating inspection data to continuously reduce asset risk, minimize failures, and improve operations.


Some key responsibilities of the role will include, but not limited to:

  • Maintaining integrity management system housing inspection frequency, method and results, as well as anomaly assessment, & repair data.
  • Liaising closely with Operations, Facilities Engineering and other Maintenance Units to coordinate integrity issues in major shutdowns and turn-around activities
  • Working with maintenance and facilities/production team to optimize inspection processes, ensuring inspection work scopes are defined, and inspection activities are being completed to the required standard
  • Managing information sharing on anomalies and fitness for service of systems between integrity team and operations, maintenance and project teams
  • Being responsible for the monitoring and reporting of KPI's, managing and updating of the anomaly registers, and coordinating anomaly sign-off
  • Managing integrity related Management of Changes (MOC) and local integrity consultancy
  • Determining suitable and appropriate inspection techniques and frequencies
  • Promote and establish the use of new technologies to improve efficiency of inspections
  • Participating in technical studies, Process and Instrument diagram reviews, Safety Integrity assessments and HAZOP's.
  • Liaising with other discipline leads, regulatory team and US regulator (BSEE & USCG) as deemed necessary
  • Participating in integrity failure investigations.


Preferred Experience:

  • 7 years working experience as integrity engineer focusing on offshore oil & gas piping, pressure vessel, storage tanks integrity program
  • Science or Engineering Bachelor's degree, preferably in mechanical engineering
  • Strong knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, ASME B31.3, ASME B31.8, API 510, API 570, API RP 574, API RP 576, API 579-1, API 653, NACE MR-01-075, SPCC, etc.
  • Substantial experience with offshore inspection project management and resource planning
  • Knowledge in various NDE techniques and their applications
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings such as mechanical flow, process flow, Piping Isometric drawings
