Director of Supply Chain and Manufacturing

I am recruiting on behalf of a client and currently seeking a highly skilled Director of Supply Chain and Manufacturing. This key leadership role is responsible for managing the financial operations within a manufacturing environment, with prominent aspects including budgeting, financial and operational analysis, forecasting, and reporting. Collaborative work with senior leaders across operations, supply chain, and other critical departments is crucial in order to meet financial targets and support strategic initiatives.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Planning and Analysis: Will be tasked with leading the annual budget and forecasting process, presenting financial results to senior management, and driving accountability within the manufacturing organization.


Cost and Inventory Management: Will be in charge of developing comprehensive gross margin reporting, managing cost reduction initiatives and efficiency improvements, and overseeing inventory stock levels.


Strategic Partnership: Will be expected to collaborate with the operations team to enhance profitability and productivity, providing financial guidance on a range of topics, including capital investments and supply chain optimization.


Technology and Systems: Must be able to leverage financial and manufacturing systems for data accuracy and reporting efficiency, and be involved in the implementation of new technologies and systems.


The successful candidate will have:


A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field. MBA or CPA preferred.

At least 10 years of experience in finance with a minimum of 5 years in a manufacturing finance role.

Proven experience managing financial operations in a manufacturing environment.

A strong understanding of manufacturing processes, cost drivers, supply forecast models, and demand planning.

Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems, preferably NetSuite.

Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Demonstrable ability to build successful partnerships with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

Furthermore, we are looking for a conscious leader who can bring a strong manufacturing background, a prowess in supply chain and demand planning, and an innate knack for identifying avenues of increased efficiency. The suitable candidate should be adept at documenting essential processes and procedures, and prepared to lead the charge on the ground with the production, manufacturing, sourcing, sales, and accounting teams.
