Responsibilities:

  • Establish and maintain open communication channels with government officials, community members, and local organizations regarding the development of the clean energy plant.
  • Represent the company at various community events, meetings, and gatherings to enhance its reputation and promote a positive image related to the hydrogen plant project.
  • Stay informed about local regulations and policies that may impact the company's operations, and effectively communicate these within the organization.
  • Facilitate the flow of accurate information between the company and the community, addressing any misconceptions and ensuring transparency about the hydrogen plant project.
  • Address community concerns or complaints promptly, working to find solutions that align with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with community leaders and organizations to identify opportunities for community investment and partnerships that benefit local well-being in the context of clean energy initiatives.
  • Assist in planning and implementing community programs, sponsorships, and events that support social responsibility initiatives related to the hydrogen plant project.
  • Promote and support the company's commitment to environmental sustainability and responsible resource management within the community.

Qualifications:

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States as a U.S. citizen, national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
  • 3+ years of experience working with community groups, political organizations, and/or non-governmental organizations.
  • 3+ years of experience in corporate communications, stakeholder relations, and/or government affairs.
  • Advanced communication skills in written, oral, and formal presentations.
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office 365 applications: Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint, and Teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50% of the time, as needed.
  • Existing civic, community, or business connections in the Coastal Bend region are preferred.
