POSITION
The Human Resources Manager is a key position within IGS Solutions, LLC. Located in DTLA, Ca, this position will report directly to the Director, Human Resources. The HR Manager is a driven, highly organized, outstanding communicator with the ability to multitask when priorities change. The Human Resources Manager will run the daily functions of the Human Resources Department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices. The successful candidate possesses excellent administrative and computer skills. This role includes working collaboratively with the HR team as well as all client groups to ultimately support and coordinate human resources functions and initiatives.
The Ideal Candidate is professional, business focused, calm under pressure, a multi-tasker, sees all sides of the situation and is comfortable asking the right questions to help support the business needs. The successful candidate will enjoy a fast-paced environment, where change is part of the everyday.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- May oversee the scheduling, assignments, and daily workflow of subordinate staff in the department.
- May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conducts or acquires background checks and employment eligibility verifications.
- Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
- Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
- Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
- Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Conducts research and analysis of organizational trends including review of reports and metrics from the organization’s human resource information system (HRIS) or talent management system.
- Monitors and ensures the organization's compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and modifies policies and practices to maintain compliance.

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
- At least two year of human resource management experience is preferred.
- SHRM-CP is a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate.
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Thorough knowledge of Labor Union and Retail Experience.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
REQUIREMENTS
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Available for on-site operations work Monday-Friday.
- Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities- not hours; must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.

- Ability to get in and out of vehicle and walk up and down stairs during your shift.
- Must be able to stand, sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist.
- Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals
