Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager for an integrated logistics company who is a global leader in shipping services. Our client company operates in 100+ countries and has a goal to enable its customers to trade and grow by transporting goods anywhere and everywhere.


The Account Executive will be responsible for the strategic development of new & assigned clients for domestic/ground freight forwarding services. The Account Executive will leverage industry experience and draw on previous successes to onboard new accounts and to further develop and grow existing customers. This is an opportunity to work alongside highly professional teams who will recognize and reward your contributions in an environment where every day brings new challenges and opportunities.


Background Required:

  • Domestic freight forwarding sales (2+ years)
  • Multimodal: Air freight, LTL, TL, Expedite, 2nd day, next day
  • Demonstrated success in growing a sales territory
  • Deep understanding of local market and target customers
  • Prospecting & account development
  • CRM management
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Computer literate: Microsoft Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, & Outlook
  • Residence: Greater Hartford, CT area

Background Preferred (but not required):

  • Freight forwarding operations
  • Small to mid-size account management
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
