  • Review and assess: Analyze contractors' monthly pay applications and evaluate construction progress.
  • Prepare reports: Create monthly progress reports using established templates, ensuring accuracy and clarity for clients.

  • Work as a team: Collaborate with our diverse team, consisting of former contractors, engineers, architects, and developers, to provide comprehensive project assessments.

Who You Are

  • Construction Knowledge: You have a solid understanding of general contractor commercial construction practices and documents such as AIA G702/G703, Change Orders, and construction schedules.
  • Detail-Oriented: You excel at identifying discrepancies and ensuring accuracy in documentation and reports.
  • Effective Communicator: You can clearly communicate with contractors and clients, especially in technical writing.
  • Self-Starter: You can work independently and manage your time effectively across multiple projects.
  • Team Player: You thrive in a collaborative environment and contribute to the team’s overall success.

What You Bring

  • Experience in General Contractor commercial construction: Familiarity with job sites, contractor invoices, and progress evaluations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Technical Writing Skills: Ability to prepare detailed, accurate reports based on your site visits and assessments.
  • Strong Organizational Skills: Capable of managing time-sensitive tasks and multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Able to address issues effectively and propose ideas for continuous improvement.
  • Positive Attitude: Motivated to contribute to the team and deliver high-quality results.

Why Join Us?

  • At First Construction Consulting, Inc., you’ll be part of a team that values integrity, teamwork, and independence. We offer medical, dental, and vision insurance, a 401K, and a chance to grow in a company that has been a trusted leader in construction consulting since 1983.
