Burlington, United States Myomo, Inc. Full time

Have you ever felt blown away by the miracles of modern medicine, while also feeling that the patient experience still leaves much to be desired?

Here at Myomo, Inc., it's our mission not only to leverage the power of cutting-edge robotic technology to improve patient quality of life, but also to demonstrate a commitment to prioritize and serve the patient.

We are 1st in the U.S. to develop and market the MyoPro® product line of lightweight, non-invasive, powered arm braces (orthoses) to restore function in the paralyzed or weakened arms and hands of individuals that have suffered a stroke, spinal cord or nerve injury such as brachial plexus injury, or other neuro-muscular disability such as traumatic brain injury, (TBI) brachial plexus injury, (BPI) or multiple sclerosis (MS). It is the only device that, sensing a patient’s own neurological signals through non-invasive sensors on the arm, can restore their ability to use their arms and hands so that they can return to work, live independently and reduce their cost of care.

At Myomo, we are driven by a mission to enable independence and confidence for stroke survivors as well as those living with the impact of another neurological disorder. Our teams continue to break through barriers, defining the limits of what is possible in both medical device robotics and our global system of care.

We're currently seeking a strong Product Manager II to oversee development of new product introductions, as well as to manage product decisions and improvements for current on-market products.

The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills to identify and prioritize user and business needs. They are a team player and strong collaborator, as well as a highly productive individual contributor with excellent communication (written and verbal) skills. They enjoy working cross-functionally to influence decisions and deliver high-quality products.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing both user/customer and field-based feedback, as well as collecting and analyzing Manufacturing and Engineering-based feedback.
  • Identifying and prioritizing product improvement projects.
  • Executing product improvements with cross-functional teams.
  • Communicating with field-based teams regarding product improvement project launches.
  • Developing and managing detailed User Requirements on product improvement projects, informed by primary and secondary research.
  • Designing and executing formative and summative Validation studies with support from cross-functional teams, including protocol and report writing.
  • Partnering with Clinical on the development of user-facing materials such as User Manuals and Quick Guides.
  • Partnering with Commercial to ensure smooth, well-executed new features and product launches.
  • Contributing to Product Management projects, working collaboratively to improve product design, development, and launch processes as well as to develop product roadmaps.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business or scientific field preferred; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
  • 4+ years’ experience in medical device product management within a product development environment.
  • Analytical, with both a results- and process-orientation; possesses the ability to provide product leadership from early inception through project completion.
  • Data-driven decision-making, incorporating input from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong empathy for customers and passion for growth.
  • Demonstrated ability in building collaborative relationships across functions within a global business.
  • Strong verbal, written, communication and presentation abilities; highly proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
