Job Details:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-skilled Product Development Manager to join our team in the Manufacturing industry. This is a permanent position that offers a unique opportunity to drive innovation and improve efficiency within our product line. The successful candidate will have a strong background in food science, animal nutrition, project managment, and leadership. If you are a strategic thinker with a passion for developing new products and a proven track record in Pet Food manufacturing, we would love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

As a Product Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of engineers and technicians in the development of new products, from conception to launch. Key responsibilities include:

1. Oversee the entire product development process, ensuring all products meet our high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
2. Apply Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and optimize performance.
3. Conduct market research to identify opportunities for new products or improvements to existing products.
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and production, to ensure products meet customer needs and align with our business objectives.
5. Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and AAFCO Guidelines to ensure our products remain competitive.
6. Develop and manage project timelines and budgets, ensuring all projects are delivered on time and within budget.
7. Provide technical expertise and guidance in areas of feed plant, food manufacturing, and animal nutrition.
8. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and manufacturing efficiency.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Food Science, Animal Nutrition, or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in product development within pet food manufacturing.
3. Able to work a hybrid schedule with 3 days a week onsite.
4. Proven experience in food manufacturing and a understanding of AAFCO Guidelines.
5. Strong knowledge of animal nutrition.
6. Proven track record in new product development, from conception to launch.
7. Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
8. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
10. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
11. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software.
