Construction Superintendent - Asheville, NC


A well established North Carolina general contractor is looking for a Superintendent in Asheville. This company is focused on building high-quality commercial projects that shape the vibrant landscape of our community. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Superintendent to join our team and play a key role in delivering exceptional results on projects across different sectors.


Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of assigned commercial construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Manage and collaborate with a team of construction personnel, including subcontractors, field crews, and engineers.
  • Develop and implement detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets, fostering open communication with all stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular site inspections, identify potential challenges, and implement corrective actions to maintain project progress.
  • Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations and protocols on the job site, prioritizing a culture of safety awareness.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation, including daily logs, material reports, and change orders.
  • Manage project budgets and track project costs, identifying and implementing cost-saving solutions when feasible.
  • Foster strong communication and collaboration with project owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
  • Proactively address challenges and make sound decisions to keep projects on track.


Qualifications:

The ideal candidate would have the following:

Construction related degree or similar field experience

A minimum of 5 years in the commercial construction industry working for a GC

The ability to lead and manage projects >$10mm

Previous experience in healthcare projects preferred but is not required
