Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee large multinational IT projects and programs with a focus on finance systems, including SAP Finance and related applications.
  • Act as a primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project goals.
  • Utilize strong knowledge of Microsoft Project to plan, execute, and monitor project progress.
  • Coordinate with external vendors to ensure timely and efficient delivery of project components.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Excel in follow-up tasks, ensuring the team remains focused and on track to meet project deadlines.
  • Neutralize conflicts and manage differing opinions to maintain a collaborative and goal-oriented environment.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management and stakeholders, highlighting project progress, risks, and issues.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale IT projects, particularly in finance systems, with substantial experience in SAP Finance.
  • Certifications: PMP, PgMP, Prince2, or other accredited PMI or PM certifications required.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of SAP Finance, Microsoft Project and experience with finance data, planning tools, and allocation processes.
  • Vendor Management: Experience working with external vendors and managing third-party relationships.
  • Communication: Excellent communication skills with the ability to act as an effective liaison between business and IT.
  • Project Management: Demonstrated ability to keep teams focused, neutralize conflicts, and drive projects to successful completion.
  • Local Requirement: Must be local to Long Island City, Queens, with the ability to work in the office at least 2 days per week, with potential for additional days required initially.
