Responsible for the overall operation of the Maintenance Department in a manufacturing facility. Need a strong leader who is technically skilled and can drive results. pneumatic, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, electronics, plumbing, welding, parts layout and testing, drafting needed in this role.


DUTIES

  • Directs, supervises and establishes department workflow to keep the team focused and efficient.
  • Follow up with staff, monitor performance, and drive accountability.
  • Establish, work within, and control a budget for all facility maintenance.
  • Oversees a preventive maintenance program for all equipment.
  • Develop cost and efficient plans and schedules for maintenance.
  • Utilize a CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
  • Insures an effective parts inventory. Maintains cost records and controls for all equipment and building maintenance projects.
  • Works cross functionally on technical and engineering plans for facilities performance improvement
  • Communicates department projects with plant management.
  • Participates in the hiring process of all Maintenance personnel.
  • Responsible for local, federal laws and regulations compliance and reports (EPA, OSHA)


REQUIREMENTS

  • 5 or more years in maintenance and 3 or more years in maintenance management
  • Strong employee management skills, as well as the mechanical aspects of equipment maintenance
  • Degree preferred.
  • Strong background in plant and equipment maintenance
