Job Overview

Tesoro Group is actively seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to support our client’s operations. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 2 years' experience in residential maintenance, with a strong background in plumbing, electrical systems, and HVAC. The role requires proficiency in unit turns and a solid understanding of general maintenance tasks.

Compensation: $24-$25/hour based on qualifications. This position is a contract-to-hire opportunity.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. On-call responsibilities may be required after conversion.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare apartments for new residents, including tasks such as painting, carpet repairs, and general cleaning.
  • Respond promptly to resident inquiries with professionalism.
  • Demonstrate knowledge in maintenance areas including plumbing, HVAC, basic electrical work, and general carpentry.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety of grounds, pools, common areas, and amenities.
  • Be available for on-call scheduling to address after-hours emergencies.
  • Report maintenance issues in vacant units and common areas to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Complete maintenance tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Understand and comply with fair housing laws at all levels.
  • Participate in training programs as required.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service while representing the company professionally.
  • Adhere to company uniform and appearance standards.
  • Follow safety procedures and ensure the security of company tools and equipment.
  • Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in residential maintenance.
  • Experience with EPA/Magic Pak systems is preferred.
  • CPO certification is highly desirable.
  • Experience with unit turns is essential.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to pass a background check.
