Position Overview:

Banko Overhead Doors is seeking a dynamic, strategic leader to fill the role of VP, Corporate Development. This is an individual contributor role initially, with a clear expectation to build and lead a team over time. The successful candidate will be someone who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment, embodying a "roll up your sleeves" mentality. This role requires a unique blend of strategic foresight, humility, and the ability to drive growth through M&A and other strategic initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • M&A Leadership: Lead the end-to-end deal process, from sourcing and introduction to integration. This role demands someone who can personally quarterback the entire process, ensuring successful execution and alignment with our strategic goals. Integration leadership will be especially critical as Banko Overhead Doors embarks on M&A activities for the first time.
  • Market Expansion & Greenfield Initiatives: Identify and assess new geographic markets for expansion. Develop and execute market entry strategies, including greenfield initiatives, go-to-market plans, sales strategies, and marketing campaigns. Drive the expansion of Banko Overhead Doors into new territories and market segments.
  • Strategic Growth Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive growth strategy that aligns with Banko Overhead Doors’ long-term objectives. Identify new markets, products, and services that can drive revenue growth and enhance the company’s competitive position.
  • Strategic Utility Player: As Banko Overhead Doors pursues a multi-pronged growth strategy, it is essential that this leader can effectively manage and execute multiple strategic workstreams.
  • Cultural Fit and Representation: The ideal candidate will be a cultural fit, demonstrating accountability and humility. They will represent the Banko brand with integrity, presenting well to garage door company owners and other stakeholders.
  • PE-Backed Experience: Preference will be given to candidates with experience in private equity-backed environments, who have successfully operated in fast-paced settings and have a track record of building strong relationships both within and outside the organization.
  • Long-Term Leadership Potential: This role is critical to the leadership team, and we seek a candidate with strong leadership traits and the potential for long-term growth within the company.

 

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in corporate development, strategy, or a similar role within the construction, manufacturing, or home services industry. Proven track record of leading successful growth initiatives and M&A activities.
  • Skills: Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, excellent communication and negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of market dynamics and competitive landscape. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage complex projects.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve ambitious goals. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.

 

Travel & Location:

The position requires the candidate to be in Florida at least two weeks per month, with a preference for full-time presence in Tampa, FL.
