Job Summary

We are seeking an Operations and Logistics Manager of exceptional caliber to spearhead and expand our operations. This individual will be instrumental in fostering the growth and evolution of our enterprise. The ideal candidate is a visionary, capable of strategic flexibility as we explore novel approaches to conducting our business. As a trailblazer in operational innovation and a connoisseur of operational processes, the Operations Manager will have both direct and indirect responsibilities. These include, but are not limited to, supervising production, planning and managing inventory, overseeing our warehousing and 3PL deliveries, customer support and order management, and introducing improvements to our operational processes.

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

· Oversees the overall operations management of our Warehouses & 3PL, Client Services (including order management) and Purchasing departments.

· Oversees forecasting, budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing on all operations under positions managed.

· Own execution of component and finished goods production plans and delivery schedules in support of optimized inventory, timelines, and costs

· Create, foster and own strong working relationships with suppliers and contract manufacturing partners.

· Communicate with key internal cross-functional stakeholders to support a consistent flow of information, visibility to any potential problems and smooth operation of the overall supply chain, avoiding any supply disruptions.

· Forecast inventory needs for weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis

· Work with demand & inventory planners on balancing supply availability to enable sales opportunities & responsive solutions to changes in demand. Ensure a balanced level of inventory to minimize excess and obsolete inventory as well as avoid stock outs.

· Oversee the warehousing & Pick and Pack activities of our 3PL provider to ensure all orders are fulfilled correctly and in a timely manner

· Oversee and minimize customer chargebacks related to supply chain management

· Own supplier performance evaluation through reporting metrics and facilitating performance conversations with the co-packagers

· Identify current and anticipated supply bottlenecks and work with internal and external stakeholders to develop solutions or sourcing alternatives.

· Identify opportunities and develop a plan to reduce manufacturing and logistics costs, optimize timelines, and minimize supply chain complexity in support of the Company’s financial and strategic growth plans

· Oversee the New Product Introduction Stage Gate process, from project initiation to completion of commercialization for all new product launches, adhering to cost, inventory on-hand targets and timelines

· Highlight and manage risk awareness and mitigation plans with Leadership Team

· Promote and implement a continuous improvement culture.

· Ensure quality control and consistency from supply to fulfillment on all products to verify that every item is made, packaged, labeled and finished correctly

· Review and analyze our supply chain and components for cost reductions savings

· Ensure that customer sales orders are updated and entered in a timely matter in the ERP

· Identify cost savings on ordering

· Coordinate the timely fulfillment of Online Sales (e-Commerce & Amazon)


Qualifications:

· Inventory planning, and logistics experience in relevant beauty industry

· Proven success record in supplier relationship management and established relationships with key beauty manufacturers and packaging suppliers

· 5+ years of experience in supply chain and operations with a focus in product operations in beauty or related consumer products industry

· Proven track record of leading teams through process improvements, change management

· Experience working with vendors, outside stakeholders (3PL, contract manufacturers, suppliers)


Skills:

· Impeccable attention to detail in a fast-paced work environment

· Broad understanding of supply chain and operations functions to manage, retain and hire a team of experts

· Self-starter and team player with creative problem-solving skills

· Demonstrated success in creating, implementing and/or leading supply chain operations team, with hands-on experience in new product development processes

· Proficiency in NetSuite

· Excellent analytical skills

· Excel proficiency


Education and Experience:

· Bachelor’s degree in business administration or engineering required.

· Master’s degree in business administration – a plus.

· Extensive and diversified background with at least 10 years of related experience.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills

· Experience in product management


Physical Requirements:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Possible prolonged periods of moving throughout the warehouse

· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
